Spring Workshops 2023

Medieval Colour: Exploring Indigo, Weld and Madder

£200 per person
*9:30 – 4pm. Workshops run over both days.

Indigo, Weld and Madder represent the three primary colours of the European dyeing tradition, which can be combined and cross dyed to create secondary and tertiary palettes. With a historical focus, over the course of a weekend we will work with wool and linen fibres to explore the potential of these three ancient plant dyes.

Each workshop guest will take home a colour swatch library, a grounding in the techniques of natural dyeing and an understanding of the context and history of our native dye plants.

Morning coffee, lunch and snacks included (special diets or allergies can be catered for!)

Onsite camping is complimentary for workshop guests, with shower and loo facilities, and available for a plus one at £15 per person per night. Max 3 nights.
